A luxury Athenaeum Wedding | Pasadena, California
This luxury Athenaeum, Pasadena soiree embodies everything a fairytale wedding should be, including an incredibly romantic surprise from the groom to his bride.
Just after the ceremony, surrounded by congratulatory cheers and swirling rose petals, emotions on high, is when the bride first glanced the beautifully adorned horse and carriage waiting to take them away! A magical moment she will never forget.
When looking for the perfect venue Rick and Flora knew they wanted a place with beautiful architecture and privacy. A place where they could get ready before the ceremony and also relax in to the night with their guests. They found exactly what they were looking for at The Athenaeum, a private social club on the California Institute of Technology campus. This gorgeous venue had us from the moment we walked in to the pre planning meeting. As visual artists we’re always looking for settings that will enhance the story but we also consider logistics. Keeping the couple’s experience fun carefree is a priority for us, and this amazing location has it all.
What a night! Rick and Flora’s love for each other was so contagious, that not a person in attendance could deny the joy and happiness that filled the room! Everyone was up and about, dancing the night away!

Romantic Summer Wedding | Saddle Peak Lodge
Ryan and Julia love spending time in nature. When they saw the lodge with its breathtaking mountain views and rustic charm they knew instantly that that they had found the perfect location for their summer wedding celebration. A romantic wedding story with soft gold accents and a beautiful wedding cake that shimmered in the sunlight! A trellis of green garland and abundant white blooms graced the ceremony site. Beautifully designed by Exotic Green Garden An overall soft feminine style that looked especially beautiful in the authentic rustic setting of Saddle Peak Lodge.
The couple envisioned an elegantly simple and carefree event. With Shannon from Affairs of The Heart to guide them, this is just how the day unfolded. So lovely.
Standing together before an inspiring view of the Santa Monica Mountains in the late afternoon light, Ryan and Julia said I Do.
Apple orchards, winding roads and small town generosity. Serendipity Gardens is less than an hours drive from the city bustle but a world away
Marnee and Dillon’s wedding tells a charming story of the bride’s Scotch-Irish heritage and the couple’s shared love of homemade pie, dinosaurs, and Star Wars!
Serendipity Gardens is surrounded by charming vintage farms that made the couple’s vintage Pontiac look right at home.
On the edge of a pine forest in a quaint apple orchard, Marnee and Dillon had a private First Look before the ceremony.
The couple exchanged vows on a deck, perched on the hillside with a breathtaking view of the valley. Guests enjoyed cocktails under the shady canopy of trees, adorned with shimmering chandeliers that hung from the tree limbs above. Followed by dinner and dancing under an open tent. Tartan plaid and scotch-Irish details represented the couples family lines. The highlight of the evening was a surprise performance by the couple for their guests. Fans of Star Wars, Marnee and Dillon planned a lightsaber duel that was pulled off with perfection! The skit ends when Darth Vader enters the room threatening the couple. The couple, frozen in fear, drop their weapons and reach out for one another and miraculously, the power of their love brings Darth Vader to his knees. The crowd went absolutely wild with cheers and applause.
Guests enjoyed the music and dancing. Between dancing guests could relax around the open fire pit to gaze the starry night and enjoy s’mores!
The celebration ended with a cheering, sparkler send-off. It was definitely a night to remember!
Hats off to the creative team that helped to bring the couple’s vision to life:

Roblar Winery, Los Olivos | California Wine Country Wedding
Rolling clouds and the nostalgic sound of songbirds in the vineyard set the stage for Cassidy and Gavin’s incredibly romantic wedding ceremony.
Wedding guests gathered on the lawn at the edge of the vineyard sipping champagne and enjoying the view, as the couple decided to have a first look before the ceremony, to calm some nerves, and share a quiet moment together before the ceremony started. In keeping with an intimate wedding, the couple chose a close friend to officiate the wedding ceremony. Cassidy and Gavin exchanged their wedding vows under a majestic canopy of hundred year old oaks, like two sentient beings offering their grace and serenity over the ceremony.
The wedding reception was complete with good wine (of course!) and exceptional cuisine. The wedding cake and beautiful desserts were designed and baked by another dear friend as a wedding gift for the couple. A labor of true love! Custom wedding signs and beautiful burgundy and blush flowers with succulent accents designed by Passion Flowers added to the overall charm of the day.
The highlight of the evening was the fiery sparklers that guests held as they surrounded the couple during their first dance as husband and wife. Displayed in tall galvanized buckets with tags that read “Let Sparks Fly” –Perfection! Congratulations, Cassidy & Gavin!
The people and the cuisine at Roblar Winery are exceptional and if you are looking for the perfect winery for your event, Roblar is a must see!
Castle Green Pasadena Wedding
Planning their Pasadena wedding from Washington D.C. Mina & Ryan wanted to to find a location with history and beautiful California architecture. With the help of their wedding planner they found the perfect location in Pasadena at the majestic Castle Green. The bride and her mother took a trip home to India where they found the beautiful blue sari’s that the bridal party is wearing. Handsomely combined with classic tuxedos and lush white roses and the romantic setting, everything looked incredible.
Congratulations, Mina & Ryan!
Whispering Rose Ranch Wedding | Gabrielle & Diwan
When two families come together to make a wedding happen …
Each wedding invitation was carefully hand cut, individually stamped and painted by the bride and her sisters. Then both mothers taught themselves calligraphy and addressed each and every envelope by hand!
The bride’s dress was complemented by a handmade veil by Renee Pawele. The same artist crafted Gabrielle’s beautiful hair piece, shoe adornments and a surprise boutonniere for Diwan.
One of our favorite moments from the day was at the start of the ceremony. Once guests settled in their seats, a herd of horses were released in the adjacent paddock running at full gait! The sound of pounding hooves and their powerful grace and beauty held the guests in a moment of breathless awe. Emotions on high and horses calmed, Gabrielle and her father took to the aisle.
After a ceremony that left no eyes dry, guests enjoyed cocktails and then made their way to a magical dinner reception on Sycamore Lane. Crystal chandeliers hung from the limbs of magnificent Sycamore trees above, casting a warm romantic light onto the family-style farm tables below. Before their grand entrance, Gabrielle and Diwan savored a sweet moment alone to practice their first dance in the barn.
Plush seating areas designed by Found Vintage Rentals provided guests a welcome place to rest their feet as dancing and toasts continued into the night.
Sweets, coffee and late night music kept guests going until the last star made it’s debut in the sky.
Congratulations, Gabrielle and Diwan!

Courthouse weddings are intimate and fun and this one, oh so chic! They are a truly magical way to say “I do.”
When we spoke with Jessica and Adam about their civil ceremony plans, they shared some of their favorite things with us. Jessica mentioned that Adam is a gourmet coffee connoisseur and that she loved a good cup of tea. So naturally we started the day and their photo story at the Gypsy Den, an eclectic neighborhood coffee shop with the best tea and coffee around! After enjoying the eye opening libations and a stroll in the courtyard, it was time to get married! We met again at the Old Orange County Courthouse where the couple was greeted by family. After a quick and fun swearing-in ceremony, everyone gathered upstairs for the ceremony which was short, sweet, and filled with laughs and love. With such a genuine and stylish couple, photographing this special day was so much fun! Her single hydrangea bloom, his yellow Mini Cooper, and the way they laughed together are just a few of our favorite things from this orange county courthouse civil wedding ceremony. What a truly perfect day! Congratulations Jessica & Adam!
If you’re thinking of having a civil marriage ceremony we highly suggest the landmark Old Orange County Courthouse. Restored to look much as it had at the turn of the last century this courthouse is the perfect place to hold a small ceremony.
And we just have to mention Garett, our waiter at the Gypsy Den. His charm and goodwill added immeasurably to our perfect day experience. Thank you, Garett! We’re sending everyone we know your way!
