Athenaeum Wedding | Cal Tech Pasadena
A luxury Athenaeum Wedding | Pasadena, California
This luxury Athenaeum, Pasadena soiree embodies everything a fairytale wedding should be, including an incredibly romantic surprise from the groom to his bride.
Just after the ceremony, surrounded by congratulatory cheers and swirling rose petals, emotions on high, is when the bride first glanced the beautifully adorned horse and carriage waiting to take them away! A magical moment she will never forget.
When looking for the perfect venue Rick and Flora knew they wanted a place with beautiful architecture and privacy. A place where they could get ready before the ceremony and also relax in to the night with their guests. They found exactly what they were looking for at The Athenaeum, a private social club on the California Institute of Technology campus. This gorgeous venue had us from the moment we walked in to the pre planning meeting. As visual artists we’re always looking for settings that will enhance the story but we also consider logistics. Keeping the couple’s experience fun carefree is a priority for us, and this amazing location has it all.
What a night! Rick and Flora’s love for each other was so contagious, that not a person in attendance could deny the joy and happiness that filled the room! Everyone was up and about, dancing the night away!
Peggy Kelley of Timeless Celebrations weaved this couple’s ideas in to a vision that exceeded their dreams!

Black Tie Wedding The Ebell Long Beach Cal
Black Tie Wedding Long Beach Cal
The Ebell of Long Beach is an extraordinary venue and the perfect setting for celebrating Tim and Courtney’s love story.
The open archways and natural daylight spaces are a photographers dream.
The bride’s dress by Pronovias is a personal favorite. The beauty of the lace over the blush colored, luxurious silk slip had me at first sight.
Before the ceremony the couple met in the natural light foyer to share a first look and to greet their sweet pup, Winston.
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful. The floral arbor designed by Bottles and Blooms looked stunning above the mosaic tile floors and the lush greenery set along the aisle.
The couple chose long dark trestle tables for their reception with pale blue and gold accents. Soft hued, luscious blooms and garland, gold sequin runners and hundreds of twinkling candles were displayed down the center of the tables. The head table where the bride and groom dined with the wedding party was framed on either end by tall green trees adorned with hanging baubles of light. The look was magical against the dark wood walls and high vaulted ceiling.
The father of the bride, maid of honor, and best man gave speeches after dinner. Then Courtney and Tim cut the cake before dancing began.

Serendipity Garden Wedding
Apple orchards, winding roads and small town generosity. Serendipity Gardens is less than an hour drive from the city but another world away. A charming wedding story of the bride’s Scotch-Irish heritage and the couple’s shared love of homemade pie, dinosaurs, and Star Wars!
On the edge of a pine forest, just down the road from Serendipity Gardens is a quaint apple orchard, a perfect location for Marnee and Dillon to sneak away for a private First-Look before the ceremony. Their vintage Pontiac looked right at home in this charming farming town too!
Perched on a hillside with the most breathtaking view of the valley below was where the couple exchanged their wedding vows. Afterward guests enjoyed cocktails under a shady canopy of trees, adorned with shimmering chandeliers. Dinner and dancing followed. Deep red tartan plaid and Scotch-Irish details represented the couples family heritage. A surprise performance by the couple was the highlight of the evening. Serious Star Wars fans, Marnee and Dillon carefully planned a lightsaber duel that was pulled off with absolute perfection! Their sure-footed skit was nearly over when suddenly Darth Vader entered the room! The music turned ominous, the couple trembled with fear, dropped their weapons and reached out for one another.Miraculously the power of their love brought Darth Vader to his knees! The crowd went absolutely wild, jumping out of their seats with cheer and laughter! Honestly it was hard to hold the camera! So much fun!
In between dancing guests mingled around the open fire pit, eating s’mores and gazing at the brilliant, starry night. Sending off the couple with a giant sparkler line up was the perfect ending to a very memorable event.
Hats off to the creative team that helped to bring the couple’s vision to life:
