First Congregational Church Los Angeles Wedding & Vow Renewal
Michiko and Jean were college student when they fell in love and were married in a civil ceremony. They made a promise to one another that one day, when they could afford it, they would have a wedding with their families and all of the trimmings. On their tenth wedding anniversary they fulfilled that promise and this beautifully planned wedding became a reality.
The morning began at Mr. C’s Hotel in Beverly Hills with the preparations and first-look. The couple enjoyed a ride to the church in a vintage limousine. The ceremony was held at the historic First Congregational Church of LA an architectural wonder, modeled after the great cathedrals of France and England. After the ceremony guests were treated to an elegant soiree at the Carondelet House, originally built as a private residence in 1928. During the cocktail hour the couple treated their guests to an impressive display of their favorite fine cheeses and caviar served with authentic french baguette. Fine wine was served during the cocktail hour and bottles were also gifted as favors. The rustic dining room tables were set with vintage lace runners and opulent silver chargers. Sprigs of rosemary and blush pink and cream florals added lushness to the design. An elegant dinner was served and champagne toasts were given. Then the live music began and everyone was out of their seats! On the patio a barista took orders for strong coffee drinks as fresh Cuban cigars were being rolled. And if things couldn’t get any better, later in the evening, the bride changed in to a shorter dress and the couple danced a jaw-dropping, sure footed, salsa number that had the crowd cheering!
Congratulations, Michiko and Jean! Well done! A very special event worth the wait!

This beautiful and adventurous Malibu engagement session happened on one of the most perfect California beach days that we can remember. We love getting to know our couples and collaborating on the lifestyle photography sessions do just that. Before the shoot we schedule a consultation to understand what’s meaningful to them and how they might be envisioning the story. We share ideas, including locations, color and the feeling of the story. It’s fun to see it come together, the unique story that each couple creates, unfolds naturally. It was so much fun working with these two!
Thank you, Marnee + Dillon for a great day and a beautiful story!
Roblar Winery Wedding Santa Ynez
Classic California meets vineyard charm!
We just love a vineyard wedding and Cassidy & Gavin’s wedding held at Roblar Winery is no exception. Their ceremony took place under two majestic oaks, surrounded by vineyards and songbirds and the love of family and friends.
The wedding celebration was complete with good wine (of course!) and an abundant display of the most beautifully handcrafted desserts, designed and baked by a dear friend as a wedding gift for the couple! A labor of love!
Adding to the charm of this wedding were the beautiful flowers designed by Passion Flowers. The witty wedding signs and the sparklers that were passed around to guests while Cassidy and Gavin enjoyed their first dance! Perfection!
Congratulations, Cassidy & Gavin!
The good people at Roblar Winery are truly wonderful too! If you’re looking for a winery for your event, Roblar is a must see!
Castle Green Wedding
It was such a pleasure for us to work with this couple, from our initial Skype interview, to meeting in person at the venue and then again, a week before the wedding for the bride’s makeup trial, and of course, throughout the wedding day itself.
Mina & Ryan live in Washington D.C. and planned their Southern California wedding long distance. It was important to them to find a location with history and beautiful architecture, with the help of their wedding planner they found the perfect backdrop for their soiree. Listed on the registrar of historic landmarks, Castle Green is a stately manor that takes you back in time to an elegant era. Mina wore her late father’s watch on her wrist, a thoughtful and loving gesture. A successful trip to India resulted in finding the gorgeous sari’s that the bridal party is wearing. Combined with the elegant tuxedos, white roses and this amazing venue, the event was incredible and the love — contagious.
Congratulations, Mina & Ryan!
We love photographing meaningful wedding stories for wonderful people

As seen in Country Living Magazine!
Nestled in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley is Whispering Rose Ranch, a venue like no other and the perfect setting for Gabrielle and Diwan’s romantic destination wedding.
The bride and groom’s families surrounded them with such love and support, helping with many wedding details and so much more. A true blessing and a sign of a long and happy marriage.
Each invitation was carefully hand cut by family members and individually hand stamped and painted by the bride and her sisters, and to ensure each envelope was worthy of the celebration it was hearkening, both mothers taught themselves calligraphy and addressed each and every envelope by hand!
One of our favorite moments was at the very start of the ceremony. Once the guests were settled in their seats, a herd of horses were released, running at full gait in the adjacent paddock, the sound of their pounding hooves, their powerful grace and beauty had the guests in a moment of breathless awe. Perfectly timed, emotions high and horses calmed, Gabrielle took the aisle.
Her dress, already perfect, was complemented by a handmade veil by Renee Pawele. The same artist crafted Gabrielle’s beautiful hair piece, shoe adornments and a surprise boutonniere for Diwan. After a ceremony that left no eyes dry. guests enjoyed cocktails and then made their way to Sycamore Lane, a unique and truly magical dinner setting. Crystal chandeliers hung from the magnificent mature trees, casting a warm romantic light onto the long family-style tables below.
Gabrielle and Diwan enjoyed a sweet moment alone before their grand entrance to practice their first dance in the barn. The toasts, dancing and festivities continued well into the late night hours. Plush seating areas by Found Vintage Rentals provided guests a welcome place to rest their feet. Sweets, coffee and late night snacks kept guests going until the last star made it’s debut in the sky.
Congratulations, Gabrielle and Diwan!
Cheers to the amazing crew of creatives that put their-all into this gorgeous event.

A Second Marriage. An Intimate Ceremony. Beverly Hills
Love really does make the world go around ! Karolyn & Carl along with their first husbands and wives were the best of friends. When both of their spouses passed just a year apart from one another, Karolyn and Carl did what dear friends do, they stood by one another through difficult times. A lifelong friendship grew to a slow ramance.
Karolyn and Carl were married in an intimate ceremony at his Alma Matter, Harvard School (now Harvard Westlake) Their ceremony, followed by an elegant, simple reception was a very special event for us to photograph. We felt privileged to be a part of it!
Love truly does triumph!
